sf_policePolice commissioners are poised to settle a 2005 sexual harassment and discrimination suit brought by three female police officers.

The plaintiffs, Joanne Lozenski, Juanita Stockwell and Susan Rolovich, say top brass failed to prevent the harassment and retaliation that began in 2000 and lasted several years.

Lozenski, who worked at the Lake Merced police range, claims in the lawsuit that she was called names and threatened when correcting a male officer in the gun range and that her supervisor failed to address the frequent demeaning comments she endured.

Stockwell claims she was retaliated against after filing a discrimination complaint. Rolovich alleges she was unfairly transferred, and that her co-workers once posted a photo inside the Northern Station in which her breasts had been digitally enlarged.

If commissioners approve the undisclosed settlement Wednesday, it will then go to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
